Frequently Asked Questions
What languages does Scribe support?
Currently, Scribe works in the English language only. We are working toward upgrading Scribe to support other languages in the future.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
When you log in to your Scribe account after subscribing, you’ll see a top navigation option labeled Cancel My Account on each and every page. Click that link anytime to end your subscription, and you’ll never be charged again. Next, if cancelling during your first 30 days, ask for your money back on the very same page, and we’ll promptly return your money.
How is Scribe different from other SEO tools?
What’s innovative about Scribe is that instead of asking you for a keyword phrase and then pushing you to construct content around it, Scribe:
- Analyzes what you’ve already written, preserving your natural flow
- Reveals what search engines will think you’re writing about
- Suggests changes to better reflect the language searchers are using
- Guides you through remaining content elements based on SEO best practices
Add to that keyword research and link-building directly from your content drafting space, and Scribe is like having an SEO expert as a writing assistant.
What’s an evaluation?
An “evaluation” is the term we use to describe each analysis of content using Scribe. Each time you analyze your content via the Scribe algorithm, one evaluation is used.
Typically, it takes between 3 to 5 evaluations to fully optimize a page, although you will get more efficient the more you use Scribe.
What’s included with my subscription?
- You get Scribe Web, plus Scribe for WordPress, Drupal, and Joomla, and all future updates to each as long as you’re subscribed.
- You get technical support through the myScribe system.
- You get periodic SEO educational resources that help you get even more out of Scribe.
What do I need to use Scribe?
Scribe Web is completely turnkey – we provide you a log in when you subscribe and you can start optimizing content immediately. Once you’re logged in you can do keyword research, content optimization and link-building all from one place.
Scribe for WordPress requires WP version 2.8.4 and later, plus the ability to enter a custom title tag and meta description. You check out all Scribe compatible themes and plug-ins here.
Scribe for Joomla requires Joomla version 1.5.
Scribe for Drupal requires Drupal version 6 or later.
Where can I go for technical support?
Scribe subscribers have access to our online support system at https://my.scribeseo.com. The Scribe support system provides a forum, video tutorials, and a support ticketing system. In addition, Scribe subscribers can send a support ticket via email to support [a t] scribeseo.com.
Does Scribe work on WordPress.com?
No, Scribe is not compatible with WordPress.com (the hosted version of WordPress provided by Automattic). This is because WordPress.com does not provide users with the ability to install third-party plugins, which is required for the Scribe API to provide you with our service. Your best bet is to use the free WordPress software with your own hosting provider.
What if I need more evaluation credits?
Customers can upgrade their account by sending a support ticket. If you require a custom-tailored package with more flexibility, we offer an enterprise plan starting at 600 evaluations per month that can be adjusted as you need.
Can I use Scribe on multiple websites?
Yes, your API key allows you to use Scribe on as many websites as you’d like. Our license is by content evaluations and keyword searches performed and not by the number of websites.
Do you have an Affiliate Program?
Yes, we certainly do. Find out more here.
I am a custom application developer, do you have an API?
Yes, our API supports most web service protocols including SOAP. Please contact us here if you are interested in using our API for your custom application.
